Independent, question-led explanations

Clevercometjolt is an informative website about simulated skiing environments and year-round athlete development. We address coaches and technically curious skiers who want to understand a system before relying on its output. We do not sell equipment, provide medical care or issue instructor qualifications.

We are not affiliated with the governing bodies, research organizations, training associations or venues linked here. Links identify sources and useful context, not endorsements. The guide contains no paid rankings or affiliate purchase links.

Three kinds of statement

Equipment description

What a surface or mechanism does. The current manual and facility instruction remain the source for safe operation.

Measurement explanation

What a sensor measures, what software estimates and which conditions affect the result.

Training interpretation

What an observation might justify next. Suggestions are bounded workflows, not proof of a product’s effectiveness.

How we handle uncertainty

We avoid unsupported improvement percentages, injury-prevention promises and claims that a universal technique score exists. A venue page can establish that a type of facility is offered, but not that training there improves race performance. General measurement guidance can explain uncertainty, but not validate a proprietary algorithm.

When considering research, we look for the participant group, comparison condition, intervention and measured outcome. We distinguish a change in machine performance from retention and transfer. This guide is not a systematic review and does not claim to include every available study.

Corrections and scope questions

If a definition is unclear, a source has moved or a statement overreaches its evidence, prepare an editorial message. Include the page URL, the sentence concerned and a primary reference where possible. Do not send confidential athlete information. We assess corrections by their supporting evidence, not by whether they favor a particular training product.
